It’s nice to know that more women than ever are taking part in this year`s Rio Olympics, or to be exact 4.700 female athletes (45%) compete in 145 events. These numbers are unprecedented.

The sad part, sexism is still widespread. A BBC commentator calls a women`s judo match a “cat fight”; Corey Cogdell-Unrein, a bronze medal winner still uses her husband’s name and not her own… its 2016 people!

But, let`s move these events aside and celebrate the power of the female body in this year`s Rio Olympics:
