If you notice a double white lines that run across the nail than you have a reason for concern. These lines are known as Muehrcke’s lines and they appear in event of liver or kidney disease.
Lindsay’s Nails or “half and half” nails show up white on the bottom and brown on top. They are a strong indicator of kidney disease.
There are also Terry Nails that look very similar to Lindsay’s Nails, but they have more white on the bottom and brown on the tip. Terry Nails indicate that you might have HIV or a heart condition.
