On July 29th, the 18-year-old Kaelyn Demmon started a Twitter conversation with her mom, Heather Steinkopf, saying that she doesn’t trust her. A night before she was watching a movie with a friend, but her mom keeps requesting selfies that couldn`t be “photo-cropped” to make sure she`s telling the truth.
You see, Heather knows that her daughter, as well as other teens, keeps a bunch of seemingly-innocent pictures just for occasions like these, so she has to figure out creative ways to get the confirmation she needs. “Get on her back and take another selfie,” she demanded of Kaelyn and her friend.
It`s not like she doesn’t trust her daughter, but sometimes she just wants to have a little fun and make her do different stuff.
People quickly related to this story, but some of them had mixed emotions about Steinkopf’s surveillance tactics.
