Cleaning up your language is a given when you start to raise your kids, but of course that`s easier said than done, especially for people who are used to dropping the F-bomb for years.
One mom blogger decided to get real and talk openly about swearing in front of her kids. In one of her recent Facebook posts, Constance Hall admitted that sometimes she swears in front of her kids, but only for emphasis and never at another person. She wrote: “You’ll never catch me calling someone a name or screaming ‘f-off.’”
Constance thinks that it’s not above her to say “for f-sakes” when her baby went No. 2 right after everyone was in the car and ready to go or use other words like “holy shit” when something unexpected happens. In her defense the kids know that only mommy is allowed to swear.
But as we thought it was only a matter of time when her older son started using the F-bomb, but seems like she is not bothered by it at all. “I certainly don’t encourage it, have pulled him up on it and he appears to have stopped.”
Her oldest son, Arlo, has reached an age where his friends have a greater influence on him and started to copy what they say and do. At this age, it’s very important to teach our kids to try and find friends that have similar moral codes as our family. It`s only a matter of time before they get mad and run off with their friends, so it’s nice to know that they are in good company.
