The general public thinks that Mike Pence, the incoming Vice President is set to become the most anti-gay person that has stepped into the White House in modern history and his neighbors aren`t happy about that.
Pence is yet to move into the Vice President’s mansion on the grounds of the Naval Observatory, but his neighbors have already thrown him a “welcome party” by hanging colorful rainbow flags on their houses.
“A respectful message showing, in my case, my disagreement with some of his thinking,” says Ilse Heintzen, that lives in close proximity from where pence is currently living.
As you know Pence is very opposed to gay marriage, supports gay conversion therapy and also helped pass the law in Indiana that shamefully allows business to legally discriminate LGBTQ people on religious grounds.
Right now, there are a couple of rainbow flags hanging around the block and we expect more to show up.
