There is no doubt that this movement is misguided in its understanding of feminism, but the fact that it`s giving feminism a bad reputation is even worse.

An April 2013 poll found that 83% of all Americans agreed with the following statement: “Men and women should be social, political, and economic equals.” This is probably one of the simplest definitions of feminism we need. Now feminism is seen as anti-men, radical, liberal… and many other things that it’s simply not!

This movement and others alike are saddled with limited and unnecessary prerequisites that distort the true meaning of feminism. At the end, maybe this is just another wake up call to remind us how, after all this time, feminism in still poorly misunderstood.

One thing is for sure, we need to continue to advocate for equality between men and women and we also need to remind the world what feminism entails, rather than have someone else define our movement for us.

FWIW, belittlement is pretty much all I, as a man get from feminism. The MRA & MGTOW movements are clear evidence that I’m not alone in this interpretation. If this is a misunderstanding of Feminism’s message of ‘equality’, then Feminism needs to seriously alter its rhetoric and actions, so that they could possibly be interpreted as motivated by egalitarianism instead of revenge.
‘Cuz honestly – y’all at least sound like you want some sorta revenge, for a million years of ‘Rape Culture’.

Shhh! Don’t encourage them!

Feminism is a hate group. Tearing down men and destroying masculinity is all they’re about. Feminists are hateful, sexist people.
