A 6-year-old girl has been spotted walking alone on the site of the highway in Georgia after she was taken home by a substitute bus driver. The New York Daily News reported that Julianna Pimentel was found alone and scared alongside Canton Highway after she realized that her parents were not home.
Jane Holems, a private investigator spotted her running along the highway and thanks to her the little girl was rescued before something worse happened.
Everything was recorded on the investigator’s dashboard camera and we can hear Julianna saying: “I lost my family because the bus took me to my house and nobody was there.”
She was taken home by the substitute bus driver instead dropped off to daycare. When she realized that her parents are still at work and nobody`s home, Julianna tried to walk to daycare by herself.
Her, father Gilberto Pimentel told the news outlet that Julianna was aware that they were not home and tried to tell the bus driver that she needs to be in daycare, back to school.
The private investigator had no choice but to take Julianna to the Sheriff’s Office and then contact her parents.
Shelly McKinley, the 48-year-old substitute bus driver was fired over this incident.
At the end her parents were thankful that this incident ended without their little girl getting hurt, but still, incidents like this should never, ever happen.
